Boat Slips & Dockominiums

Lagoon City Grand Marina offers slips that can typically accommodate boats ranging from 20 feet to over 50 feet in length, depending on the slip location. Most slips offer deep-water access, and many are equipped with power and water.   Transient Slips also available!

Join a Volunteer Committee!

Events & Social Committee

The Social & Events Committee is responsible for planning and organizing activities that bring members together and foster a sense of community within the marina. The committee coordinates a variety of social events throughout the season, including barbecues, holiday celebrations, boating activities, and special gatherings for both adults and families.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize social events, parties, and seasonal celebrations
  • Coordinate food, entertainment, and event logistics
  • Promote events through emails, posters, and social media
  • Manage event budgets and maintain financial records
  • Work with other committees to align events with marina activities 
  • Encourage member involvement and volunteer participation
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere at all events

Docks, Grounds & Landscaping Committee

 The Docks, Grounds & Landscaping Committee is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of the marina’s docks, common areas, and landscaping. The committee coordinates routine maintenance, repair projects, and beautification efforts to keep the marina clean, safe, and welcoming for all members and visitors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain docks, walkways, green spaces, and parking areas
  • Organize seasonal clean-up days and volunteer work parties
  • Oversee landscaping, lawn care, planting, and grounds beautification, flower planting with any sub-committees
  • Recommend and coordinate repairs or improvements to marina facilities
  • Ensure safety and accessibility of docks and public spaces
  • Manage relationships with vendors or contractors for major projects
  • Monitor budgets related to grounds maintenance and enhancements
     


Officer of the Day

The Officer of the Day serves as a welcoming point of contact for boaters arriving at the marina. Volunteers will monitor the marine radio to communicate with incoming vessels, providing docking assistance instructions and assigning slips as needed. Additionally, they’ll offer general information about marina amenities, local attractions, and event details to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all visitors. This role is essential in promoting a friendly, helpful atmosphere at the marina.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor VHF radio for incoming boaters
  • Provide docking instructions and assign slips
  • Communicate with marina staff if further assistance is needed
  • Answer general questions about marina facilities, events, and services 
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude
     

Safety & Security Committee

The Safety & Security Committee is dedicated to promoting a safe, secure, and welcoming environment throughout the marina. The committee works proactively to identify safety risks, recommend preventive measures, and ensure the marina complies with safety regulations. It also oversees the marina’s emergency preparedness and security protocols to help protect members, guests, and property.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety inspections of docks, common areas, and facilities
  • Monitor and maintain emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, life rings, first aid kits, etc.)
  • Develop and update emergency response plans (fire, medical, severe weather)
  • Recommend security improvements such as lighting, cameras, and gate systems
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire services, and marine rescue when needed
  • Educate members on safety practices and emergency procedures
  • Report incidents and suggest corrective actions

Launch & Haul-Out Committee

This committee organizes and oversees the safe, efficient launching and hauling of boats at the beginning and end of the boating season. Members coordinate the schedule, supervise the process, and ensure all activities are conducted safely and according to marina procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the seasonal launch and haul-out schedule
  • Communicate dates, times, and procedures to boat owners
  • Coordinate equipment use (cranes, trailers, etc.)
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during operations
  • Organize volunteer crews to assist with the process
  • Inspect and maintain related equipment and storage areas
  • Serve as the liaison with professional crane operators (if applicable)
