Meet our Dockmaster of Lagoon City Marina, Michael Pitcher.  With a distinguished background in luxury hospitality, marina operations, and community management, Mike  brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Dockmaster at Lagoon City Marina.   Mike holds a number of professional designations including an MBA. 

Michael’s career has spanned some of the industry's most iconic brands, including executive leadership roles with Marriott International’s Luxury Division—Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and W Hotels—The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, where he redefined service excellence in branded communities.   

Michael’s portfolio also includes the management of luxury marina properties, most notably in Ontario, the exclusive Friday Harbour Resort, where he oversaw high-end waterfront & property operations and introduced hospitality-driven enhancements that elevated the customer experience. His work in marina management has been marked by revenue optimization, service innovation, and seamless integration of lifestyle amenities. 

Meet Vanessa M. Van Dette, Strategic Property Operations Manager at Lagoon City Marina.   

An executive with a proven track record of operational excellence, strategic leadership, and a relentless commitment to client service. As Vice President at Larlyn Property Management, Vanessa plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial, operational, and compliance functions at Lagoon City Marina, while also guiding long-term planning and asset preservation strategies.

With over thirty years of experience managing complex marina properties as well as residential, commercial, and waterfront portfolios across Ontario and Florida, Vanessa has become a trusted figure in the industry—known for her ability to navigate high-stakes environments with precision, integrity, and foresight. Her leadership spans a diverse range of assets including condominiums, marinas, and luxury communities, where she consistently delivers results in areas such as capital planning, reserve fund oversight, budget stabilization, and owner engagement.

In addition to earning her MBA, Vanessa holds multiple professional designations in both Ontario and USA —demonstrating her ongoing dedication to professional growth.

We are thrilled to introduce Jody Graves, our new Full Red Seal Marine Technician at Lagoon City Marina! With over 25 years of hands-on experience from Crate’s Marine, Jody brings a wealth of knowledge, a deep passion for marine service, and certifications with Mercury and Volvo—making him one of the most trusted names in the business.

Whether it’s fine-tuning your engine, preparing for launch & haul-out, or addressing complex mechanical issues, Jody’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensures your vessel is in expert hands.

Meet Tim Harrison, with many years of hands-on experience in the marine industry, Tim Harrison is the go-to expert for all things parts and service at Lagoon City Marina. As our Parts & Service Manager, Tim oversees the procurement, inventory, and coordination of critical components that keep our marina—and our boaters—running smoothly.

Known for his technical knowledge, solution-oriented mindset, and exceptional customer service, Tim plays a key role in ensuring that repairs and service requests are handled with precision and speed. From sourcing hard-to-find OEM parts to coordinating service schedules with mechanics and vendors, he’s the driving force behind our seamless maintenance operation.

Tim’s background includes years of working with top-tier marine brands and supporting large-scale marina operations, giving him deep insight into the seasonal demands of boating life. Whether it’s preparing for launch and haul-out, organizing winterization programs, or troubleshooting equipment concerns, Tim brings professionalism, honesty, and deep industry knowledge to every interaction.
